About the Program
Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA) helps newcomers prepare for settlement and employment in Canada before they arrive. Delivered in partnership with six settlement agencies nationwide, SOPA provides personalized support based on a participant’s intended destination, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for a successful transition.
Through SOPA, participants receive information and orientations about Canada and their destination province, job search training, one-on-one support and access to tools that help them understand Canadian workplace culture. This sets the foundation for a smoother integration and job search upon arrival.
