All of us at ISANS are shocked and deeply saddened and would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to all our Muslim brothers and sisters after the attack on innocent worshippers in the mosque in Quebec.
This was an attack on all of us who believe in the value of each member of our community and the richness of diversity.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Muslim community here in Nova Scotia and across Canada.
We stand with you in grief and in hope. We believe that now, more than ever, we must affirm our solidarity as one human family, support one another with understanding and love and denounce fear and hatred.
We are proud to be part of this country built by immigrants, that embraces newcomers and recognizes the many ways in which they enrich all of our lives.
