ISANS would like to invite all former Welcome Ambassadors to take part in a new initiative called “Compass Dialogues.”
ISANS is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We are also committed to making our province a more diverse, welcoming, and inclusive place for all. The “Compass Dialogues” are opportunities for alumni of the Welcome Ambassador program to gather in a safe, online space to build on the knowledge you gained in the program. We will dive deeper into dialogue surrounding the global movements of Anti-Racism, Black Lives Matter, and Indigenous Lives Matter, and talk about how these movements relate to newcomers in Nova Scotia.
Building on the notion of a compass, these dialogues aim to help participants find direction and clarity of thought through active engagement around the complexities of these concepts.
You are welcome to join any or all of the sessions as each one will be different.
Please note that ISANS is adhering to strict, provincial COVID protocols. These dialogue sessions will take place online, and we will send the link for the meeting to registered participants in advance.
