On-site Recruitment and Information Session: IWK Health Centre/Tim Hortons
September 12 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
What is an ORIS Session?
An ORIS (On-site Recruitment & Information Session) is a presentation by an employer about their organization and career opportunities, followed by a 10-minute one-on-one speed interview.
What is the IWK Health Centre?
Did you know that staff you meet at Tim Hortons at the IWK are IWK employees? The IWK Health Centre is an internationally recognized and respected academic health sciences centre located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, providing care for two million women, children, youth, and families across the Atlantic region. The IWK is committed to a workplace where our staff, physicians, learners and volunteers reflect the patients, families and communities that they serve. They seek and encourage applicants who reflect our broad diversity, and are committed to reducing barriers to employment and career growth.
As a member of Tim Hortons at the IWK, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience for every customer, co-worker and supplier while working in the store. You will be cross-trained as Counter Staff, supporting the store in providing great customer service and generating sales and as a Baker, preparing the popular Tims products throughout the day, supporting cost control by following proper baking/finishing procedures, following/maintaining the store’s production sheets and maintaining a clean, sanitized work environment.
- Counter Staff
Please note: Our Tim’s staff are unionized. Positions are required to be offered to those internal to the bargaining unit first.
