Join us for health workshops on how to live a healthier life, be physically active, and manage stress. Each week, you will learn from a different expert on a health-related topic. Friends and family are welcome to join.
Don’t Hibernate – October 29
Learn how to stay active all year round, especially when the weather gets cooler. You will also learn about safe exercise and injury prevention during the winter season.
Fire Safety – November 12
Learn about: fire prevention (smoking, heat, kitchen, electric); fire detection (smoke alarm, sprinklers); and fire escape (plans and equipment)
Food and Mood – November 26
Learn about the relationship between what you eat and how you feel. Explore how healthy eating can support mental wellbeing.
Stress Management – December 3
Learn the practical skills to cope with stress.
Cancer Screening Program (Women Only) – December 10
Learn how to lower the risk of being diagnosed with cancer, and how to diagnose cancer early when treatment is most effective by participating in the free Cancer Screening Program.
Childcare and interpreters are available.
