Due to the high volume of applications we have received recently we are currently not accepting new applications until further notice. Applications for Professional Mentorship and Practice Interviewer are still being accepted. Please contact the Volunteer Program Coordinator Denise Scott directly if interested in one of these two roles. Thank you.
How to Get Started
- Complete an online application. Please note that only completed applications will be processed so please make sure to fill out all required fields in the application before logging out.
- Sign up for a General Orientation Session. All sessions take place at our offices located at 6960 Mumford Road, Suite 2120 (use the West End Mall entrance and head upstairs).
- Once your application is processed, you will be contacted by the program coordinator for an interview.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age and older to volunteer. For those under 18 and enrolled in a high school co-op program, there may be an opportunity to do a work placement at Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia. For individuals not able to attend a group orientation session an alternate time and day can be arranged by clicking on Individual Volunteer Orientation Session located on the online application page. For more information about the volunteer process please contact
