If you have education and/or experience in a particular occupation, and your goal is to work in that field, the Work Placement Program may be for you.
The Work Placement is an (unpaid) 6 week, full-time opportunity to gain experience in your field with a Nova Scotian employer. You will have the chance to explore how your profession is practiced in Canada and to show your qualifications to a potential employer.
Although the Work Placement is not paid, there are many benefits:

The Work Placement Coordinator will help you to find a placement that closely matches your skills.
Your Employment Specialist will help you decide if the Work Placement program is right for you.
Please note: this program is only available to: Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia clients who are Landed Immigrants with Permanent Resident status, people protected under the Refugee Act, and Provincial Nominees.
